A season of Letting Go, Refining the Eye, and Releasing the Boundaries around which I can create the the full expression within me. My intuitive style of work comes from the use of color combinations, movement, the properties of water and the paper, how each reacts with salt, metals, alcohols, pigment and texture.  Understanding how the water and pigment will move along the paper and create markings and texture behind I create large watercolor pieces with rich color, strong focal points and movement to draw the viewer in to feel the places their minds eye wants to take them.  Watercolor is a natural medium, using rich cotton moulded paper, dense tube earth based pigments and water to effortlessly flow across and into the paper over long periods of drying time.  My process is time consuming.  A Full sheet of cotton paper can take up to 8 hours to dry fully once saturated and it is in those hours that you get to be part of the magic.  To facilitate the elements and tell its story. I use a wide variety of tools and applications to create my work with attention to composition, color theory, focal points and values.  I want you to fall deep into my work and feel what it speaks to you about.

2018-2021
I started painting in 2018 and these pieces taught me everything I learned about Art in the first few years of  this journey.  Color theory, composition, focal point, perspective, blending, tool variety, materials... the list goes on and on.  Each piece was a practice of my own creation based on some principle I had read about in a number of art focused library books and the moments along my life during those times.  These pieces started my creative journey into art and hold a special place in my heart. Giclee Reproductions of these pieces are available in any desired size on paper or rolled canvas.
